Portrait of Edgar Allen Poe

This is the Edgar Allen Poe portrait I did for the book Portraits Of Poe from my studio, Rocket Ink Studios. It is watercolor on art board and measures 11x17.

I wanted to do something different with this portrait and I felt adding the skull element to the face was a unique way of doing this piece. There are several different portraits of Poe in this book and I wanted to give mine an original look that reflected me and my personal style.
